Obituary of Rosemarie T Auriemma

Rosemarie Auriemma was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 17, 1929 to the late Louis and Rose Steiner.

 

She wed Jerry Auriemma in 1947 and was married to him for over 60 years until his death in 2007.  Together they had two sons, Dennis and Jerry, and moved to South Ozone Park, NY to raise their family.

Rosemarie was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker that always focused on doing anything and everything for her family and their friends.

 

With the birth of grandchildren, Rosemarie became affectionately known as Mama to everyone. In 1994, Mama and Papa moved to Whitehouse Station, NJ where Mama quickly became a favorite of her neighbors and their children.  Simple things made Mama very happy and she loved to knit, crochet, and pray when not spending time with her family and friends. She also loved face timing and seeing pictures of her great grandchildren.

 

She was predeceased by her son, Dennis and her older brother, Kenneth.

 

She is survived by her son, Jerry and his wife Pat, her daughter-in-law Kathy and her partner Carrie, four granddaughters, Kaitlin, Colleen and her husband, Brad, Marybeth and her husband, Mark and Jamie and her husband, Ned.  She is also survived by three great grandchildren, Cam, Rory, and Fiona

 

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 13 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station followed by a gathering to share memories and celebrate her life.

 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Kearns Funeral Home, Whitehouse.
