Obituary of George Andrew Chipko

George Andrew Chipko, age 69 of Annandale, NJ, passed away peacefully at Care One in Bound Brook on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late George and Anne Chipko.

George lived in Piscataway before moving to Annandale in 2002.

He worked for 32 years for NJ transit at a job he enjoyed going to everyday.

George had been fascinated by trains his entire life.  He was a Railfan and a member of the Philipsburg Railroad Historians.  He enjoyed hiking and being in the outdoors.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Mary Franceus; his two brothers, Thomas Chipko and his wife, Eva of South Carolina and Steven Chipko and his wife, Paula of Oregon, his best friend of 66 years, John Ciborowski and many loving sisters and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews.

A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale, NJ.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.

Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
