Obituary of Arlene E Vehec

Arlene E. Vehec, age 78 of Lebanon, NJ, died at her home on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Barbara Lukas.

Arlene had been a resident of Clinton Twp. for the past 52 years.

She started her career as a nurse working at Hunterdon Medical Center for several years but went on to hold a variety of other jobs including a typesetter at MB Services printing, an assistant at a children's daycare center and a security guard at AT&T in addition to being a home maker.

Arlene was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station and was also an active participant in Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale.  She was a very generous, giving person.  Arlene along with her husband, Joseph had volunteered weekly for over 20 years at the church.  She had an adventurous spirit and was fortunate to have seen much of the world on her travels.  She loved spending time with her family and most especially cherished the time she spent with her granddaughters. 

Arlene was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph in 2010.

She is survived by her two sons, Jon Rannells-Vehec & his wife, Courtney and Mark & his wife, Faith Reich; her daughter, Elizabeth Ann McLouglin and her husband, Michael; her brother, William Lukas and by her granddaughters, Kelly and Katie McLoughlin.

A funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station, NJ.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse NJ 08888.

Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Annandale.
