Knew Mitch through my brother and sister-in-law. Helene worked with my sister-in-law so got to both Mitch and Helene through them. Mitch was there for my brother when his wife passed, and when Helene passed my brother flew cross country to be there for her farewell. Mitch was a sweetheart in every sense, kind, friendly and fun loving. Ran into him at the Somerville Cruise Nights last summer and was so happy to see him doing better. Watched him enjoying life happily through your Facebook posts these last few years. Always a smile on his face, he clearly was the apple of his family’s eye. I feel lucky to have known him a little. Sending my condolences to all of his family and hoping fond memories bring you comfort.

First met Mitch over 45 years ago. During that time I NEVER saw Mitch without a smile on his face, even during difficult times. He was as a good a person as you would ever wish to meet. To Allan, Eleanor, Jen, Bonnie and Joseph, may Mitch's memory bring a smile to your face before a tear to your eyes.

I had the pleasure of working with Mitch for over 22 years. Mitch always went over and above his daily responsibilities, and scarified his personal time to support all of us without any complaints. Mitch will be sorely missed by all. I feel blessed to have known him as a friend. Prayers to all his family for healing.

We had fun last Monday, enjoying our time together, and me, of course being silly. Mitch (and Helene) has always been a staple in the Gardeners of Somerset Valley. Not only was he our Present for the last few years, but his newsletters were captivating as was his personality. This is a huge loss for us as a Club and everyone personally. Christine, GOSV VP
