I am sorry to hear Aunt Ginger has died. She was the last
on that side of my family. I tried to contact her last year with no success. Uncle Carl was my fathers brother. Aunt Ginger was always very nice to me. She spoke about her sister Pauline many times. I am sorry for your loss. I have some old pictures and would be glad to send copies. With respect Carolyn McDonald (Tootsie)

I lived across the street from Stella since July 2011. I often watched Stella walk. We talked on several occasions. I would worry when I had not seen her out and about for a while. I will never forget one of the first conversations I ever had with Stella. I was walking to the beach and she was inside the pool area. She ask me if I saw where the bridge was drown while taking pictures in her wedding dress. Stella made a funny comment about it, and I thought she must have heard bits and pieces of something, or she had not heard some story clearly. I eventually said I will see you later and went on to walk on the beach. I thought about the story she told several times during the following days. I decided to google it because it sounded so impossible. How could a bride drown if someone was there taking photos? Well guess what ? It did happen, just as Stella had told the story! I chuckled out loud thinking how I was convinced the story could not be true. Stella always smiled when we spoke. She was always so brown. I always feared as I watched her walk that she would stumble and fall. She never did that I know of. I would often look over on cool windy days and see her sitting on the bottom of the stairwell. She had a coat or jacket on but she would be sitting in the direct sunlight. She often told me that her only wish was that her husband who had past away could have been here with her so they could walk together. My heart is saddened. I will miss Stella. I will miss chatting and glancing over and seeing her sitting in the sun. I pray her and her husband are walking in heaven together !

We, at Paradise Tower, miss Stella greatly. She was known and loved by all. Judging by her smile, Stella lived a very happy life down here at Carolina Beach, NC
