Dear Cathy, Micheal, Joey, Timothy & Michelle,
We are so deeply sorry to hear about John. We just want to let you know that we are praying for you all.
We have always enjoyed seeing John at church, and we are always happy that you all sit near us.
We always saw John smiling and cheerful, and that is a true gift. Our world needs more people like John.
We can understand how you are feeling. Two days after God called John home, he also called our Dad, Bob West, home too. Now they are both with God in Heaven. I can see them both up there laughing and joking, and helping God to watch over us.
We are also asking God to keep you all well and safe. God bless you all.
Love & Prayers, Theresa and Judy West

My condolences to Cathy and the rest of the family as well as his friends across the world. John was a mentor, co-worker, confidant, and friend. We met as Customs Inspectors 40 plus years ago. He counseled me when I was a new supervisor because he made sup first and saw me struggling. He was that sort of fellow. He was always a straight shooter and always was willing to give a boost wherever he went. I enjoyed working with him throughout the years. I missed him when we retired in different states but I knew he was still there on the other end of email or phone calls. He will be missed by us all.
We shall not see his like again.

The world has lost a great man. His grandchildren have been beyond blessed to have him in their lives. We all were. Sometimes he was in pain but would never complain. Always sought to lift the mood with a funny joke or story. A solid, dependable guy who would go the extra mile for a friend or loved one. Accomplished... a self-made man, yet he stayed humble. He'd get you out of a jam if he could. John and Cathy were a great team, created a beautiful life together. My deepest condolences to his closest family. May you find comfort at this difficult time. We will always remember, with great fondness, affection and respect, Grandpa John Hyde.

Dear Catherine and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I will always remember his sense of humor and jokes when he came to pick up Joey at Midland Employment Services. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time.
