Obituary of John J Hyde

John J. Hyde was born to Daniel and Kathleen in New York City on September 5, 1945. He passed in peace on September 21, 2021 at 76 years of age.   

Loving and devoted husband of Catherine, and father of Michael, Joseph, and Timothy (Michele).  Preceded in death by his brothers, Mike and Jerry – great men.  Proud grandfather of John, James, Patrick, Lindsey, and Claudia.  Survived by his beloved sister Mary, sisters-in-law Joy and Dorothy, and scores of cherished family and friends.

John will be fondly remembered by all as a truly exceptional human being.  Uniquely humorous, brilliant, generous, and kind.  He was a man of great character and integrity.  The man helped and elevated so many others in life.  John was a devoted Catholic, a Vietnam veteran, a former Chief Inspector with US Customs, and retired as VP of Security at Maersk, Inc.

John Hyde was a true blessing upon this earth.  We were all so lucky to know him, and to have him be a part of our life.  He will be remembered always

A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103  Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.
