I had the pleasure to know Frank for many years and was always treated as part of his family. Frank was a man of great inner pride that viewed things simplistically and to the point. He had a magical way of taking a complicated story or concern and condensing into a one line solution. We will all miss Frank in so many ways but for me personally, I will miss his humor. Frank had a priceless delivery of wit and intelligence that was always was worth waiting for. I will always appreciate his strength of character and the many lessons learned by his wisdom. I will always be grateful for the man he was, for the conversations we shared, and wisdom beyond measure. I will miss you Frank, may God bless you and your family.

Always remember Uncle Frank coming to visit my Mother at least 2-3 times a week. Such a good brother! And then he would take me to the library at least once a week. He would listen to bagpipes on record. I love the sound and always think of Uncle Frank when I hear them.

I cannot express how much joy Grandpa brought to my life. Words honestly cannot describe it. I remember playing soldiers, cowboys and indians, soccer, and so many other things with him. He always made me feel special. We were best buddies. Franklin L Buchan wasn't just an amazing person, he was my loving Grandpa. I love him so much and I will never forget him. I want to end this with our favorite song we sang together when I was a young boy. This one is for you Grandpa. "I ain't got nooo moneyyy...because I spent it allll on Maryyyy Louuu." We love you and miss you.

So sad to see our father pass way. Our family was always very proud of Dad. We were especially proud of his service in the British Army during the Korean War. Dad served with the Argyll and Sutherland Highland Regiment defending Hill 317 in November 1951, fending off Chinese forces that had overwhelming odds. He later served with the famous Black Watch Highland Regiment before leaving Korea. He was also a family man and was a great grandfather to my two children Paul and Cynthia over the past 32 years. He will be missed. His loving son and family.
