I used to work with Bob at Bridgewater Commons Mall for my 3 years that I was there back in '2001 - '2003. As Bob begins his new chapter up above I will be begin mine out west.. Bob gave me the push to follow my dream out west and now I happen to be doing just that! GENUINE is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Bob and he will be forever missed! He was a beautiful soul ,) My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.

I worked with Bob at the mall for over 5 years before he fell ill last year. My favorite memories are: each and every morning the friendly "hello" and always with a smile. I missed that when he got sick.
At the mall during holiday time, we all know we need a good chuckle every now and then to get us through and Bob always had those "silly" holiday ties that played christmas music. He would come into the office and play them for me.
If you heard "birdlike whistling" (it really was like a chirping whistle he had) coming down the hall you knew Bob was not far behind.
To Mary, Robin, and the rest of the Umhoefer family, he was a kind, intelligent, and most importantly a genuine man. He will be missed.

Having been Bob's neighbor for 34 years, I have many memories of Bob. I can still see Bob an my husband, Buzzy, on snowy days out plowing our private lane so everyone could get out. Bob knew how to plow the lane with skill and precision, keeping the thank-you mam's in tact, no matter how deep the snow. I, also, had the pleasure of watching the girls grow up, marry and have their own children. Robin, especially, played with my younger children and was almost a part of my family. Every family party included some or all of the Umhoefer's.
After my husband's death, Bob mowed my field for years and plowed the lane alone. I will always keep the memory of Bob's kindness and friendship with me. He was a true friend to my family.
