Obituary of C. Robert Umhoefer

Robert Umhoefer, age 66 of Annandale, NJ, died Friday, April 13, 2007, while comforted by his loving family, at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ. Born in Jersey City, he was the son of the late Clarence and Kay Umhoefer. Bob lived in West New York before moving to Annandale 39 years ago. Bob was employed by Gardner Volkswagen of Bernardsville for 30 years and was the Assistant Director of Security for the Bridgewater Commons Mall for the past 12 years. He was a member of the Cherryville Repeaters, a HAM radio club, and was also involved with the Office of Emergency Management for Somerset and Hunterdon Counties and the American Red Cross Disaster Team. Bob is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary and two daughters, Mary-Kay Bauman of Asbury and Robin and her husband Mike Longcor of Annandale. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Hwy 28, Whitehouse. A funeral service will immediately follow the viewing at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be private In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Matheny Educational Center, P.O.
