Amanda, I'm very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was one of Chris' favorite teachers. She thought a lot of him, and always would tell me how intelligent he was. You can be proud she was well-loved by her students and the parents. God Bless You.

To Theresa's loving family...
Your Mom was a gift to so many people. Thank you for sharing her with me in the Diocese of Metuchen as a teacher, vice principal, principal, and Catholic school leader. She was one of the kindest persons I have ever known...and I also know how much she loved all of you. Please know of my prayers for all of you at this time.

I remember Terry as always having a smile on her face. Her many accomplishments are crowned by her loving, thoughtful, polite and respectful children. I thank Terry for opening her home to my daughter and, by example, showing Brittany what true faith and unconditional love is all about. is all May the pain of her loss be replaced by the memories of her spirit.
God Bless You All. You will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

I Have Two Favorite Memories of Mrs. Gatarz ....
When my sister Sophie, my father and I got to go to represent Everitt at the Metuchen Cathedral. We went in her car.
We also had an Easter Bonnet Contest. Even though I did not win, I had a lot of fun! After that we had an Easter Parade!
I will always miss her and I will always keep her in my prayers.
Love,
Gemma Henderson

I knew Theresa M. Gatarz as Principal of Everitt Academy and have two favorite memories of her:
The first year she was with us, she arranged to have the entire school with parents and siblings included attend The Polar Express at the Chester Theater, when it first came out. After the movie, she gave each child bells. It was magical.
The second is taking her out to lunch before Christmas a year ago with a group of mothers. She mentioned going to see Legally Blond II by herself, because she was so anxious to see it. I thought that she must have a good sense of humor.
Ever faithful, Theresa M Gatarz, requiescat in pace.

Terri, as we all called her worked at Christ The King School for many years. Although we all realized that she was studying for greater things, when the time came for her to leave our school we all missed her.
Terri loved teaching. You could tell that by the countless hours she spent giving it her all. A principal always loves a teacher who really can relate to her associates, students and parents. That teacher was Terri. Thank you for making our school days so much easier!
I could always count on this fine teacher to look into the office and ask "Can I help you with anything Sister?" Terri was always involved in everything.
The pastor,Rev. Daniel Sloan,Principal,Sr. Maryann,
faculty and students thank you Terri from the bottom of our hearts for your dedication and the fine example you set for all of us!
May you rest in Peace in the Lord's arms!

Theresa was a wonderful friend and colleague. She gave more than she took, a great listener, I will always remember the many afternoons/evenings we spent talking about children, teaching, families, husbands, sisters, brothers, parents, college roommates, all the tough and wonderful things that it means to be a woman, wife, mom and teacher...So many evenings walking to our cars together; if it were dark, she would drive me to my car from her special "parking spot", in case there were bears by the river. So many long talks on the phone, in the classrooms during aftercare or in her office. Her wonderful ideas, like "My favorite play is Really Rosie! Wouldn't that be fun to do?! I bet we could do it." Celebrating Saint Lucia Day with a real candle wreath from Sweeden, teaching the Memorare to the children, reciting the Rosary all through May, her "gavel" at faculty meetings. All of her support and help with work at Seton Hall. Some courses may not have been completed without her expert use of technology and her gentle way of teaching what came so easy to her. Meeting Theresa and getting to know her strength in spirit, her past losses and struggles and her gracious successes, inspired me to come out of a long and dark shelter from the world. I wanted to have her as a friend forever. Wathching her with Aidan and hearing her talk about each of her wonderful children and husband, was a chance to reconnect with what is important in life. I miss her very much. I only know there is another young angel in heaven at rest and in peace. Her well fought fight is over, her faith sincerely intact, her crown gracefully earned.
