Obituary of Theresa M Gatarz

Theresa M Gatarz, age 50 of Lebanon, NJ, died Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Robert and the late Louise Evans. Terry married Frank Gatarz on July 1, 1978 and she spent 28 wonderful years with him. She lived in Hillsborough for 20 years before moving to Lebanon 2 years ago. Terry graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Scranton, a Masters degree in Education from Rutgers University and a Certificate of Administration from Manhattan College. She was a teacher at the Christ the King School in Manville for many years, the Vice Principal of Immaculate Conception School in Somerville for 3 years and was the Principal for the George Everitt Academy in Peapack. Tery's first passion was always her family but teaching and educating was a close second. She genuinely enjoyed the students and committed herself to their betterment. During her leisure time, Terry enjoyed reading, old movies and the Jersey shore. Besides her mother, Louise, who died in 1998, she was predeceased by her brother, Dennis. Terry is survived by her husband, Frank Gatarz; her sons, Jonathan and Greg; her daughters, Stephanie and Amanda; her father Robert Evans of Pompano Beach, FL and her two sisters, Deborah Lewis of Port Crane, NY and Susan Sparrock of Aberdeen, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchild, Aiden McKenna. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, April 23, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway, Whitehouse. A funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady Of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Annandale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady Of Lourdes Education and Youth Faith Foundation, 390 County Road 523, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889.
