Obituary of Thomas J Creaven

Thomas J Creaven, age 58 of Flemington, NJ., died Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp. Born in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late Eugene and Mary Creaven. Tom married his wife, Jean Obszanski in April of 1973 and they spent over 34 years of companionship. Tom worked with Schering-Plough for over 27 years. He was a manager of Office Planning for many years and led projects in Technical Operations for many New Jersey sites. Most recently, he was the Global Engineering Services Project Director for the Summit expansion project. Tom was a member and past President of the NJ Chapter of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi of the Beta Alpha Chapter. Tom also received his Professional Engineering License. Anyone who ever worked with Tom knew him as a highly respected leader and a wonderful mentor. He not only built buildings, but also lifted up the energy and spirit of all around him, wherever he went. Besides his wife Jean, Tom is survived by four brothers: Eugene of Kansas City, John and James of Florida, and Kevin of New Jersey; a sister Maureen of Georgia and 4 nieces and a nephew. Friends may visit with the family Monday, June 18, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 11:30 am at St. Bernards Cemetery Mausoleum in Bridgewater.
