We were researching for our High School Reunion and while looking up our past classmates on the internet that we all lost contact with I came across this obit. I grew up on Elm Street in Roselle, NJ and lived across the street from the Mauro family. I remember Dorothy and her sister Fran with fond memories. I was invited over a lot to their home by their Mom Carmela and Dad Phil for some delicious Italian dinner they would prepare and share. I will never forget her Mom's Italian meatball wedding soup and sauce. Dot was a very sweet girl who was a lot of fun to hang out with. She was close to all of us while growing up on Elm Street. We all went to school together from Elementary to High School. I am so sorry she passed away so soon and at such a young age. I live in Florida now so I was not aware of her sad passing. Sympathy, prayers on her sad passing. God received a very beautiful angel the day she passed away. RIP Dear Dorothy.

Dot became a part of our lives because of our son Jonathan and our daughter-in-law Jen's love for each other. Dot's love of family was always felt when we were in her presence. She soon became not only Jen's aunt, but our friend as well. We will miss her.

I met Dot at Elizabethtown Gas Co. She was a very dear friend. I knew that she was someone that I could depend on, whether it was for something work related, or if I needed a friend for advice. I will forever remember the fun times that we shared with Michelle. I am happy to have known Dot. She will be missed by many, many people. xoxo

Dottie was a very special person. I met Dot when she transfered to the New Village office. We worked close together and were GOOD friends. Dot, myself and Michele traveled to Las Vegas together. A trip I will never forget. The three of us were always together. I did get to wish her a HAPPY 56TH BIRTHDAY..
Dot ~ I love you girlfriend.

We had the privelege of meeting Dot when our son, Scott, started dating her neice Megan. Because they are such a caring family, they invited us to share in their holiday times. We will miss Dot's sweetness and easy going personality.

I have many good memories that I and my family have shared with Dot & Carmella over the years. I met Dot at Elizabethtown Gas and we were like sisters. People would say we were attached at the hip and that we looked alike. We had many good times and laughs. I just wish I could have been around when Dot got sick to help her and cheer her and Carmella up. I will miss her dearly. She always spoke of her dad after he passed on and how much she missed him. Now she will be with him again. Happy Birthday Dottie!
