Obituary of Dorothy Rosaria Mauro

Beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend Dorothy Rosaria Mauro, age 56 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ. Ms. Mauro, (Dot) as she was affectionately called, was born on June 20, 1951 in Elizabeth, NJ. She was the daughter of Carmela Mauro, with whom she lived and the late Philip Mauro. She was a graduate of Abraham Clark High School in Roselle and Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in Elizabeth. Dot had retired in 2006 from the Elizabeth Town Gas Company in Stewartsville after 37 years of service. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her sister, Fran Marie MacIver and brother in law John MacIver of Flemington and her two nieces, Jennifer Anne Trabilcy of Flemington and Megan Lynne Rudolph of Branchburg. Dot was a loving, caring, compassionate person who will be sadly missed by all her friends and family. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Bernards Church in Bridgewater. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Burial will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
