I was truly sorry to hear of Herbs passing. I was a friend who loved to play poker with Herb and boys at a regular game for years. I will miss him.(and sometimes his money!Though he usually took mine!)

Bruce, Roger, and Judy....so sorry to read of your Dad's passing. He helped get me into one of the major interests of my life...racing, and I'll never forget our trips to the various tracks, running karts at Ollie's and in the back yard, etc.

We have many great memories of times that we spent with Herbie and Shirley. Herbie was one of the warmest and kindest of guys we know. We enjoyed staying with them when we went to NJ for races. Dad will have a racing buddy in heaven with him now. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Shirley. Ron & Robyn

Blessings to all of you,
I am saddened to hear of your loss, and I pray all will find comfort in the grace and Mercy of our Lord. I have many fond memories growing up accross the street from you all. I experienced my first go-kart ride with Roger and Herb. And many days sleigh riding down that great front yard. But most of all I remember the wonderful people you all were to me. I wish we all still had more contact, but know my heart is with you all during this time. Be strong, and find joy with the memories you will always have... Love you all,
Rich Plesnarski

Always will remember Herbie as one of the finest, hard working and loyal modified stock car owners the Flemington Fair Speedway ever has had. Will always remember how proud he was when his son, Roger, did so well with it when he drove his father's car. Racing never had enough dedicated car owners like Herbie Furstenburg was. Our condolences go out to the entire family in these sad times.
