Obituary of Randy Leon Zak

Randy Leon Zak, age 58 of Whitehouse, NJ, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at home in the company of loving friends and his partner of over 35 years, Martin Johnson. He was the son of the late Joseph and Yolanda Zak. Randy was born and raised in Detroit, MI and later moved to Chicago, IL prior to moving to Whitehouse 15 years ago. Randy and his partner Marty were joined in Civil Union on March 28, 2008. He served during the Vietnam War as a Staff Sergeant with the United States Air Force. Randy was a manager, at AT&T in Bedminster, NJ. He worked with the company for over 30 years prior to his retirement in 2006. He was an avid garage and yard sale attendee and developed a passion for collecting decorative glass art. Randy belonged to many collector groups such as the Fenton Art Glass Collectors, the Cambridge Glass Society and the Degenhart Glass Collectors Society, to mention a few. Randy will be truly missed by his loving partner, Martin Johnson, his brother, Gregory of Detroit, MI, his three sisters, Yvonne Pfiefer of Big Bear, CA; Diane Dominowski of Detroit, MI, and Rochelle Roy of Livonia, MI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 4:00 to 6:30 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway, Whitehouse, NJ.
