I just heard of "Mrs. Hisko's" passing and feel deeply saddened. She was my 3rd grade teacher more than 30 years ago. Although our paths never crossed afterwards, I remember her as being a warm and caring teacher. It is sometimes only in our adult years that we can appreciate the positive influences bestowed upon us as kids. I'm sure there is a place in heaven for a teacher like Mrs. Hisko. God Bless.

Ann was such a wonderful, caring, sensitive, and longtime friend and colleague to me. We had so many memorable and fun times together in and out of the classroom. She was a 'true' caring and honest friend to me. I will always remember all the time we spent together laughing, talking, learning, and above all sharing. I truly respect her for her fight and courage. I know she's now in peace with God. I extend my thoughts and prayers to Wayne, the family and friends. May God take care of you!

I had Mrs. Hisko in 3rd grade 20 years ago, and it was a year I always remembered fondly. She was a wonderful teacher, firm when she needed to be and gentle and encouraging at the same time. Anyone who was in her class was lucky to have her as a teacher. My thoughts go out to her family. May your memories of her, as well as the knowledge that she touched and inspired so many others, guide you through this tough time. Rest in peace, Mrs. Hisko.

Ann was the quietest, strongest, compassionate teacher I have ever known. She commanded respect and got so much out of her students. They are so lucky to have had her as were all of her colleagues. Be at peace, Ann. We love you.

Ann was such a wonderful mentor to me when I started teaching third grade with her at WHS in 1975. My thoughts and prayer are with you at this time. I have fond memories of teaching with such a great teacher.

What a dear Ann was -- the world has truly lost a special person. My prayers are with Ann, her loving family, and her precious friends. May God grant us peace in knowing what an honor it was to have Ann in our lives -- for too short a time, but with each moment so special. I shall miss you, my dear friend.
