Elizabeth Fair Wymbs, age 42 of Incline Village, NV, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT with her family and friends around her. She was the wife of George Constantine Macricostas. Beth was born in Plainfield, NJ, on June 1, 1966, daughter of Julia Anne (Felder) Wymbs of Califon, NJ and the late Robert John Wymbs, Sr. Raised in Branchburg Twp., she attended local schools and graduated from Somerville High School where she was a member of the track team, 4-H equestrian stable mates and a cheerleader. Beth went on to attend Kean College of Union, NJ where she attained her Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Beth was first employed with Hartford Steam Boiler in Basking Ridge, NJ. Full of daring and courage for what she believed in, Beth decided to serve in the Peace Corps from 1995 to 1997 in the impoverished former soviet republic of Kazakhstan, where she taught English and Financial Responsibility & Planning by helping locals write business plans and attain micro-loans to sustain a living and improve their lives. Beth returned to NJ and started work for Prudential Insurance in NJ and in Hartford, CT. In 1998, she attained her Series 7 Financial Certification and transferred to Prudentials South San Francisco, CA office where she did field training primarily for Financial Planners and Insurance Agents. Beth then went on to work at Photronics, Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA as a Corporate Trainer. Eager for challenge and adventure, Beth joined a handful of friends to start up RagingWire Enterprise Solutions in 2000 in Sacramento, CA where she was their Human Resources Director. After helping build the company to more than 65 employees, Beth semi-retired to be a homemaker and continued to do HR consulting. In early years, Beth was an active member of the Lamington Presbyterian Church of Bedminster, NJ where she was a Youth Group leader. Beth enjoyed life, her family, animals and the environment. She especially loved children and they all loved her too. Throughout her life and her career, Beth had a great sense of humor and had a great feel for people, and was able to connect with them. Those who knew Beth, had great admiration for her because she was full of spirit, fearless, and brave; they knew she really cared about whatever she was involved with. She married George Macricostas in December 27, 2003 and had been a resident of Incline Village for the past five years. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two brothers; Robert J. Wymbs, Jr. and his wife Lori of Manhattan Beach, CA and William W. Wymbs and his wife Kendra of San Jose, CA, her stepmother, Judith Sellin Wymbs of Philadelphia, PA, a half brother, Christopher Wymbs of Philadelphia, PA, three half sisters, Courtney Wymbs and Kerry Ashcroft both of Philadelphia and Renee Heath of Beverly, England, her mother-in-law, Aris Macricostas of Danbury, CT, her father-in-law, Constantine "Deno" Macricostas and his wife Marie of New Fairfield, CT, a brother-in-law, Stephen Macricostas of Westport, CT, nieces, Sienna, Olivia, Haley, Jessica, Anna and Kelly and two nephews, Bobby and Danny. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, August 25, 2008 beginning at 11:00 A.M. and ending at 12:30 P.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. at the Lamington Presbyterian Church, 300 Lamington Road, Bedminster.
