I don't know if you will get this, Sharon, but I only now heard that Stas had died. I have nothing but good memories of my time working with Stas at Vectronics. His hard work was a key to our short-lived success. His easy-going humor helped to keep his team going thru some high-stress times. Though I lost touch with Stas as life took us on different paths, I always remembered him fondly. I am thankful that, for a time, I was blessed by his friendship and worked side-by-side with him. I am deeply saddened by his passing and you and your children are in my prayers

My earliest memory of Stas goes back to the “mad scientist” in Mr. Davies 6th grade class at Valley View school. There were many other “mad” (read crazy) memories along the way. A good friend and a true a genius, my only regret was that Stas never found his niche from which to change the world. However, I have not doubt that Stas and Sharon have passed this on to the next generation, Stas’ intellect will live on. While the distance has separated us over the years, I no less feel the deep loss of this childhood friend. To Ryan and Conner, when you are old enough to drive I want you to remember that a very wise man once said “trees are not made of rubber!”
I put Stas in the same category of Steve Jobs who once said:
“Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

Stas Had a quiet confidence that was infectious. A smile that was mischievous. It was great visiting with him and his family not to long ago reminiscing the days of not so long ago. He will be missed.

Dec,
I only met Stas one time, but since knowing you so well, I can imagine the crazy, fun times the two of you once had. Hope over time you can recall some of those fond memories and share them with your sons. As they get older, they will want to know about their dad. I'm here for you, kiddo, keep the "faith" and "take the high road".
Love, Judy

Sharon, I am so, so sorry. I know how much the two of you meant to each other. I remember Stas introducing Kurt and me to our first Shop-Rite brand beer. I can still taste it. Cherish the memories. Friendships that last as long as yours and Stas' are extremely rare. JD

My Dear Sharon, boys, Donusia, Jeff, children, Tonte Vera,
I loved Stas like a brother, he was always my favorite. I will miss him terribly. God willing he is now with my Ed and Sylvia, he is finally at peace. No more suffering and he is at the right side of God. I pray that you all find strength and peace within yourselves knowing he is resting. He isn't gone. He just went away for a while. We will all see him again. Remember Stas with a smile, after all he did make us laugh. Keep his memory close within your hearts. I know I will always. I adored him.
My heart is with all of you.
With much love,
Patti

It was so nice to see Stas, Sharon and the boys at our house a few years ago at one of our winter get-togethers. The gang reminisced about the old days at WHRHS and in the neighborhood where they grew up together. Stas was a free spirit and will be missed.
