Stas Dec, age 54 of Califon, NJ died Saturday, December 27, 2008.Born in Plainfield, NJ, he was the son of Stanley and Vera Dec.Stas had a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and was a Senior Systems Analyst for Chubb & Son in Whitehouse Station, NJ. He was predeceased by his father Stanley.He is survived by his wife Sharon Cummings-Dec; his two sons, Ryan and Conor Dec; his mother, Vera Dec; and his sister, Danusia Marion and her husband Jeffrey of West Chester, PA.A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the Zion Lutheran Church of Oldwick, Rt. 517 & Church Street, Oldwick, NJ.Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway, Whitehouse, NJ.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Ryan and Conor Dec to be used for a college fund being established.
