Obituary of Karen M. Quinn

Karen M. Quinn, age 50 of Raritan, NJ, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ.Karen was born in New Brunswick, NJ; she was the daughter of James and Marie (Rolfe) Halsey. She grew up in Edison and lived in Somerville and Bridgewater before moving to Raritan. She was a graduate of Edison High School and Raritan Valley Community College.She was a registered nurse at Arbor Glen in Bridgewater for 11 years and became the Director of Nursing 2 years ago.Karen was a member and served on the Consistory at the United Reformed Church in Somerville. She was a former Girl Scout Leader, 4-H Leader and a Sunday School Teacher.Besides her parents, Karen is survived by her husband, Dennis and her two children, Ryan and Kelly Quinn. She is also survived by her 2 brothers, Kevin and Matthew Halsey and her sister, Susanne Hopewell.A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
