Obituary of Charles R Kovacs
Charles R Kovacs, age 92 of Whitehouse Station, died Sunday, December 25, 2011 at the Hunterdon Medical Center.
Born in Raritan, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Kovacs. Charles was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the 6th Army, 2nd Brigade, Amphibious Division in the South Pacific from 1942 to 1945. He was an extremely hard working man and worked for Public Service Electric and Gas in heating and air conditioning repair for 36 years. He was a very talented woodworker, and enjoyed making beautiful pieces of furniture after his retirement. Charles loved to help others and was there for anyone who needed him. He was a true gentleman.
Charles was predeceased by his sister, Rose Gural.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Virginia; his daughter, Karen Arnone and husband, Raymond of Cocoa, FL; his two grandsons, R.J. Arnone and his wife, Amy and Scott Arnone and his wife, Amanda and one great-grandson, Titan; his two sisters, Anna Sutton and Margaret Rafferty.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM in Rural Hill Cemetery in Whitehouse.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home Ltd., 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888
