My first memories of Ginny were probably through my older brother, Greg Youngs. They were friends in junior high, and Greg thought the world of her. I had the pleasure of teaching swimming and lifeguarding with Ginny at the Penn Brook pool, where both our families were members. I saw Ginny many years later, just by a chance meeting, in Clinton, one of my favorite towns. It had been years, but the years melted away as we traded memories of Pennington. I am very saddened by our loss of Ginny. She was one of the upper classmen women at Central High that I looked up to with the highest regard.

Ginny was a marimba student of mine. She was fun to teach and enjoyed by my husband and I. We received Christmas cards each year with picture of her sons and later grandchildren. We always looked forward to the family card. She will be missed by us both, the sunshine of her smile and delightful attitude. Bill Campbell was my chemistry when I was in high school. Her mother was well known and enjoyed by many too. We extend our sympathy to all the family.

Of all of the memories and warm thoughts that flood and wash over me, Mrs. Rylak's distinctive laugh resonates the most. Her sense of humor and her ability to relate to the friends of her sons were greatly appreciated and whole-heartedly welcoming. The Rylak homes in Clinton and Harvey Cedars were kept well-stocked with the classic brown bottles of Stewart's root beer; the pool and the bay next to the homes were always open for games and challenges.
In the 20+ years that have past since I meet her, I have come to learn more about Mrs. Rylak's insights and wisdom. Back when we were in high school she seemed to know that every one of us was destined for good things in this life, and that we would remain lifelong friends. Well, Mrs. Rylak, it comes of of surprise how right you were then, and are today. Thank you for touching my life. JMH

Dear Al & family
When Dana became friends with Dave - she became part of the "Rylak" family. Ginny always made her feel welcome and very special. Dana would always say how much she enjoyed talking with Ginny. Ginny would jokingly tell her that she was glad to have another female around - with all those boys. Yes - Ginny was a very special lady.
These past months - I would admire Ginny so much - as I sat with her during chemo and she was so brave. Showing me pictures of her family, talking about her thoughts. She was always concerned about her family first and herself second - just as you would expect.
Our thoughts are with the Rylak family - wishing you all peace and comfort at this time.

Dear Al,David & Mark,
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, a friend and neighbor for 26 years. Ginny was special. I will miss her many TT calls, I can hear her voice "Hi Gin it's Gin". Her love of the outdoors and back yard wildlife, shopping for that special dress, lunch at the diner, our yearly snow accumulation contest, Guiness on the back porch.

Mark and I where so surprised by Ginny's passing. We were neighbors and friends, living on Center Street. We moved out of town some years ago, but always saw Ginny walking her dog and would say hi. I can remember a time when I had a health problem when we first lived on Center St. and was being wheeled out on stretcher and looked up to see Ginny giving me a reassuring smile, that all was Ok. Al,
My love to you at this time of loss. You know how much I enjoyed my contact with you, Ginny and Anne over many years, going back to 1959. I have a very special place in my heart for Ginny as the first cheerleading captain in my first 8th grade H & PE class when I started teaching. What great memories of the whole group! My last conversation with Ginny was in late August and she was having a good day. I'll remember catching up on our families and laughing about fun things. Ginny enriched the lives of all who knew her and she definitely added value to mine.

Dear Mom,
I miss you so much already. In the house at 126 I see the picture of you as a little girl holding a rabbit. I wonder what you were like back then and think about how much you loved to swim, roller skate, and what a great family you had in Pennington. Then there is the picture of you and dad just after getting married. As you dodge the rice being thrown I cannot imagine a larger more true smile than the one you showed on that day. You were blessed with a great family and then the perfect husband. You raised two children, and we have talked about it. I know that we made you proud. But it was because of you and dad that we were able to do so. Along the way, you never discouraged us from anything and you never really asked for anything in return except to spend some time at the shore or to get the family together for Christmas. You were at every Christmas bazaar, school meeting, sporting event, and banquet. You stocked the refrigerator at the Community Center but never asked for anything in return. You taught me to write thank you notes. You always took a sincere interest in my friends and their lives. You knew my friends from Clinton Public, North, Haverford, Cornell, Mayo, and UVa...and you invited them all to our home and to the shore. How many servings of baked ziti, ham, and green bean casserole does that total? You were so caring for your aging mother that you felt guilty that you only visited her once per day. You made special bonds with Angela and Lena. They adore you. I am so glad that you were able to meet Ben and that you spent so much time with Amelia. She is sad right now, and I promise that she will remember her grandma always. As mother and son, we could always talk on the phone, on skype, or on the deck of the shore house. I will continue to talk to you, ask you for advice, and use you as a role model. You will continue to live on in your husband, in your two children, in your two grandchildren, and in the countless people who have considered you a friend. I love you.
