Obituary of Ginny Rylak

Virginia C. Rylak Ginny Rylak, 65, of Clinton, NJ, passed away on February 12, 2012. Her maiden name was Virginia Ann Campbell, and was she was born on February 22, 1946 in Trenton, NJ. She resided in Yardley, PA a few years until moving to Pennington, NJ with her late father, Willard S. Campbell Jr., her mother Anna G. Campbell and her brother Willard S. Campbell, III. Upon graduating from Central High School in 1964, she attended Keuka College, graduating in 1968 with a degree in elementary education. While in high school Ginny began dating Albert D. Rylak, June 2, 1961 when she was 15 years old and Al was 16 years old. Their first date was at the Hiohela Bowling Lanes; she won the match by two pins. They were married, June 29, 1968 and were married for 43 years. Ginny taught at Nutley and Hopewell Elementary Schools prior to raising her family. She was an active participant in Meals on Wheels during this time. Since she so valued education, Ginny was always so proud of the fact that her two sons, David A. Rylak and Mark C. Rylak both became doctors. David in Emergency Medicine and Mark in Dentistry but it was their values and the fact that they are just honest, competent, compassionate, and caring adults that Ginny was most proud. Motherhood to Ginny was the most important responsibility given to anyone and she derived much satisfaction from it. She adored her two daughters-in-law, Lena Fairless and Angela Rylak. The Town of Clinton and the Borough of Harvey Cedars were her favorite places to live. Large parts of the summers were spent at the family summer home in Harvey Cedars and her favorite past-time was sitting on the beach admiring the ocean or sitting on the deck of her home gazing out across Kinsey Cove. All of her sons' friends were welcomed with open arms at the Harvey Cedars home and Ginny enjoyed filling their bellies with well prepared food. In the Town of Clinton Ginny was on the Parks and Playground Commission for almost 30 years and was for most of that time responsible for scheduling the use of the Clinton Community Center. She never minded calls at all times of the day or night so as to facilitate children using the Community Center when it was available. She believed that children had to have healthy active activities and deserved the best that Clinton had to offer. Ginny truly enjoyed living in the Town of Clinton and all the people in the Town knew her for her wonderful smile and attitude. Her two precious grandchildren, Amelia Ann age 3 and Benjamin David, age 5 months, of Staunton, Virginia became the most precious people in her life and she willingly showered them with love and affection as often as she was able. They unfortunately will be diminished by her passing. Her 99 year old mother, Anna G. Campbell, taught her well. Ginny did not have a mean bone in her body and prided herself on being a homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. Her homes were immaculate and always the center of activity for her children and their friends. She enjoyed watching the children empty her refrigerators and viewed the sound of happy children as music to her ears. Until the time of her passing many friends of her children kept in touch with her by letter, e-mail, and telephone just for affection and for advice. Without question, the world has lost a very wonderful and special person and the world is a much better place because she was here. Ginny will be sorely missed by family and friends.
