I remember Dottie as a caring member of our Church. In her later years she joined the ladies' lunch at different restaurants in the area. The ladies lunch met at12 noon and rides were offered to anybody. I am sorry I will be out of town for the Memorial service.

So saddened to hear of the passing of Dottie Shrive (Mrs. Shrive). I had the pleasure of knowing Dottie as a member of the Whitehouse United Methodist church and a co-worker at the preschool. It was always a pleasure working with Dottie at the preschool as she had a kind and loving nature toward the "little ones" in our care. She will surely be missed by her many friends and family. God Bless this sweet lady as she goes home with the Lord and is reunited her many siblings and husband in Heaven. Dottie "thank you" for your friendship. We know that God has a very special angel now.

I'm so sad to hear of Dottie's passing, but so happy to have known her. As a member of WUMC, I met Dottie in 1989 when I joined the church with my husband. I got to know Dottie as we did many events and lots of volunteering together. Eventually John and I had 3 children and each one was blessed to have Mrs. Shrive as a Pre School teacher!! Do you know, I bumped into Dottie outside of church within the past year and she could remember each one of my boys' names! (my oldest is 25!) She was a wonderful and amazing woman - the sweetest there is!! Many thanks to her family for sharing her with us. My condolences are with you all. I'm sure you are comforted because of what a wonderful life Dottie had :)
