Dad its been over 3 years now and I have to talk to you. I am truly and absolutely sorry for not protecting you more from within our family. I knew about Karina and all knew about Dagmar. Karina who only ever cared about intimidation and absolute control over the people close to her, including you. She knows she could never pull it off with me and of course I suffer the consequences of her lies. Family news is Korey has 2 children....a boy and a girl however I will never know them as your daughter has ordered the family to not speak to me.
My problem is your son is a good person who always holds out the olive branch of trust, how naïve I was. I forgave her when I caught her red handed lying so many times, tried to help her when her husband would call with tears in his voice begging me for help as he noted "Robert, I don't know what to do Karina will destroy me" At that time I didn't know it included everybody around her.
I miss you, been missing you for years before you passed. I can count on 2 fingers times we may have had a fight but in the end you taught me things about life through example if not words that were important, be honest, have empathy, work your ballsack off for success and most important build model planes. I think about you often and every time I wish I could go back be your superhero, I failed.
