Obituary of Dorothy A. Pevonis

Dorothy A. Pevonis, age 74 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Friday, February 23, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Edward and the late Mary Prasnal.and sister to the late Edward Prasnal Jr.

Dorothy lived most of her life in Elizabeth before retiring and moving to Manahawkin.  She moved to Whitehouse Station after her husband, Joseph A. Pevonis passed away in 2009.

She was a true homemaker. Dorothy loved to cook and clean and made her house a warm and happy home for everyone.   After many years of being a homemaker, she went to work at the Elizabeth Police Department in the violations bureau.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Karen McDonald and her husband, Andrew, and Sharon Fischer and her husband, Scott and her son, Joseph A. Jr. and his wife, Robyn all of Whitehouse Station.  She was the best Babci to her four precious grandchildren, Lillian McDonald, Trent and Lauren Fischer and Ethan Pevonis.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church in Bridgewater.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.

Burial will be in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
