An amazing lady, fellow gardener and cherished friend, Anita was one of the most joyous, caring and giving individuals that I ever had the privilege to know. She had a continual zest for life and learning and was a true inspiration to all who knew her for living a meaningful life to the fullest. I will miss her terribly and forever cherish the joy, laughter and many blessings she brought to my life. May knowing that she lives on so fondly in the memories of the many lives she touched bring you peace and comfort during this incredible loss.

Anita was a bright light!! I so enjoyed working with her as a Master Gardener. We both worked teaching the children at the Whitehouse School. They learned to
grow veggies and ACTUALLY eat them.!! Such fun. Anita loved her personal garden. We enjoyed having iced tea in her garden. So sorry she has left us. I will remember her laugh and keep it in my heart forever. Peg Ogden Master Gardener

To the Sawczuk Clan,
I will always celebrate the joy and love of having Anita in my life. She was indeed a second mom to me from my teenage years and for the next forty plus years after as you well know. Loving and caring for sure, tough and honest, you bet! She brought out the best in many and was a great teacher of life...
I know Stan is happy to have her back by his side.
Love to you all!

I am so sorry for OUR loss, yours perhaps bigger than mine since I only knew her well for 10 years, but miss her deeply already
Anita came to my first yoga class at SJN in August 2008 and last joined us two weeks ago. Anita's positive energy shone very where she went. She was my mentor in the kitchen and taught me how to cook for large crowds for the big fund raiser events she chaired at SJN.
I am glad she did not suffer and am sure was very surprised when she passed, And I am sure she is already working in the most beautiful garden with our Lord in heaven and with her dear Stanley.
Om Shanti

I was fortunate to know Anita for 3 decades at St. John Neumann. She sure was a fun 'playmate' especially after I retired. I will miss the many joyful times, smiles and laughter! What a loss for family and all who knew her. I loved her being and now I love her soul. Many condolences.

I fondly remember Anita's sense of style, enthusiasm and "can do" attitude. We just recently had a pleasant chat about a groundcover " mazus reptans" which she recommended to me years ago, and is thriving in my garden with boundless abandon. Anita's memory will always be cherished by this fellow gardener!

I am so sad to hear of Anita’s passing... I met her as a Master Gardener. We volunteered at Anderson House for quite a while. How shocking and amazing when a couple of years ago Anita shared her age... she was preparing to hike with her daughter in Spain! We were awed by her vitality and positive attitude! She was a delight...

I send deepest sympathies. I have held Anita in the highest regard since first meeting her through St. John's more than 30 years ago. We often attended the same yoga classes at Church, and she added such energy, joy and humor. Stories of her family, and her extensive travel, were filled with a great love of life. She and Stanley were gracious, warm, intelligent, witty, delightful, and the true embodiment of the Christian spirit. I am grateful to have known them. I will miss her. I am so so sorry. Prayers and blessings to her wonderful family.
