Obituary of Lucrezia Zimmer
Lucrezia “Lu” Zimmer, age 75 of Clinton Township, NJ, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington surrounded by her loving family.
Born on February 3, 1943 in Plainfield, NJ, she was the daughter of Dorothy and the late Pasquale Parisi.
Lu resided in Clinton Township, NJ with her husband Ben for the past 51 years. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her time with her family. She was the manager of the Whitehouse Cake Box in Whitehouse for 28 years. After retiring, she volunteered for five years at the Open Cupboard Pantry and Thrift Shop in Clinton where she made lifelong friends. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and dominos and spending time with her many friends. She had an intense love of music and a passion for cooking. She was known and loved for her kindness, selflessness and generosity.
She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Parisi, in 2003.
Lu is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Ben, her two daughters, Sherri Vergalito and her husband, Victor of Pohatcong Township, NJ and Linda Caracciola and her husband, Marc of Alexandria Township, NJ, her mother, Dorothy Parisi of Hudson, FL, her sister, Maryann May and her husband, Matthew of Washington, NJ, her brother, Leonard Parisi of Easton, PA and her three cherished grandchildren, Christine, Daniel and Victor Vergalito.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
