Pamela Ruiz

Obituary of Pamela Jean Ruiz

In 1954, a star was born!

Affectionately known as Pammie-Perfect passed away peacefully at home on November 8, 2018 after a harrowing battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Westfield, NY, she was the daughter of William Barnes and the late Ethel Barnes.

After graduating from Jamestown High School, Pamela married her high school sweetheart and collectively built a loving home for their twin girls.  As a working mom, Pamela was able to obtain her bachelor's degree in early childhood education at SUNY New Paltz, dedicating her professional life as a teacher, helping young minds flourish.

Pamela loved life, traveling the world with her husband, showering her grandchildren with hugs and kisses, entertaining her family during the holidays, and making everyone feel loved. Pamela was your best friend, biggest fan, and most of all, your hero.

Lance Barnes, her older brother, predeceased Pamela.  She is survived by the love-of-her-life, her husband, Pedro David Ruiz; her loving twins, Michelle and Atrelle; her two younger sisters and their families, Crystal and her husband, Jesse, Billie and her husband and son, Joseph Sr. and Joseph Jr.; her niece and nephew, Nikki and Eric; and her three precious grandchildren, Joe, Sophia, and Damon.

Pamela will be missed but never forgotten - we love you mom, to the moon and beyond!

Friends may visit with the family this Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.
