Obituary of Carol A. Hopper
Carol A. Hopper, of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Sunday, December 30, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Passaic, NJ she was the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Hopper.
Carol had lived in Whitehouse Station for the past 40 years.
She was a teacher in the East Orange school district focusing on learning disability testing before becoming a principal at the Union County Vocational Technical School. She retired in 1999.
Carol was an active member of the Whitehouse United Methodist Church. She enjoyed attending monthly luncheons with the church ladies and spending time visiting with her cherished grandchildren. She appreciated the beauty of nature and loved animals of every kind.
Carol is survived by her partner, Felice Rizzo; by her three sons, Vernon Hopper of Whitehouse, Darren Hopper and his wife, Keri of Quakertown, PA and Warren Hopper of Ann Arbor, Michigan; by her brother, Richard Hopper and his wife, Gwen of St. Paul, Minnesota and by her two grandsons, Ethan and Aaron Hopper.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the Whitehouse United Methodist Church. A viewing will be held one half hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM.
Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge, NJ.
