Sorry to hear about the passing of our wonderful neighbor Anastazja. We will certainly miss talking with her, seeing her almost daily strolling around the block or just sitting on her porch reading a book or watching the birds. She was great to our children growing up and was truly a pleasure to call a friend. I have told my wife many times she reminded me of my grandma Korporal. She was always surrounded by her family which we also had the pleasure to meet. You will certainly be missed by many Anastazja, rest in peace.
Our condolences to the entire Family,
Damon Tamara Tyler and Hailey

First, I liked her name. Anastazja. Like a Russian princess from a fairy tale. Then I met her. Not Russian but Ukrainian, not a princess a but real woman living life not exactly like a fairy tale in an apartment in my neighborhood, not in a palace. Funny, brave, always curious. She talked about the things most important to her: her religion, her family and Ukraine. Very soon I started thinking about her as my friend first and then as Danusia’s mother. Even my dog loved her. One day I paid Anastazja unplanned visit only because my dog while on a walk around the neighborhood was pulling me very hard straight up to her door. (Maybe the dog treats she kept in a jar helped a little bit). We had a big laugh about it. We talked, we laughed. Anastazja was not shy to ask difficult questions. One day she asked me: tell me why did they make this movie Wołyń? The movie tells the story about the very painful events in Ukrainian-Polish history and my family lived through it. So we talked. A strong woman and kind, independent and loving life. The smile was on her face all the time. Always interested in the world around her. This is my friend Anastazja I will always remember.
Rest In Peace my dear. I already miss you.
Sincere condolences to Danusia, Krystyna and Marysia and to the family.
Your friend and neighbor, Ela Chrobot

There are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go. May God's peace be with you. Cherish the memories you created with Anastazja. We will always remember her for her caring and loving nature.
Our condolences to you at this sad time.

My Grandmother, Anastazja, was a very strong and brave woman. I always admired Her. In her childhood, she survived the Great Famine or the Holodomor in Ukraine unleashed by Stalin. During World War II, she was deported to forced labor in Germany, where, paradoxically, as she recalled, she experienced the most beautiful moments of her life. After the war, she settled with my Grandfather Henryk in Poland. She had to deal with two little daughters alone when the communists closed my grandfather for several years in prison for possession of a weapon. In 1989 she experienced a great tragedy when her youngest daughter Helena died of cancer.
In 1970, she fell in love with America. She always said that "where there is bread, there is my country", but she never stopped missing Ukraine.
Eternal rest grand unto Her, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon Her. May She rest in peace. Amen.

Mom was born in the Ukraine during a difficult time of political change. During WWII she was forced to go to Germany, where she was fortunate enough to work for a very kind and loving German family. It is also there that she meet her husband. At the end of the war, she emigrated to Poland with her husband and established her life there. At the age of 50 she uprooted again and moved to New Jersey where she remained for the remainder of her life. Mom was always strong and independent woman, full of love and energy. She is survived by 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. We always love your
