She was the daughter of the late John and Maria Postolenko. Anastazja was born in the Ukraine during a difficult time of political change. During WWII she was forced to go to Germany, where she was fortunate enough to work for a very kind and loving German family. It is also there that she meet her husband. At the end of the war, she immigrated to Poland with her husband and established her life there. At the age of 50 she uprooted again and moved to New Jersey where she remained for the remainder of her life. Anastazja was always strong and independent woman, full of love and energy. She was a member of St. Andrew Memorial Church in South Bound Brook. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother; she will be tremendously missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her three loving daughters, Maria Grzegorczyk of Poland, Krystyna Gortat of Phoenix, AZ, Danuta Pitas of Whitehouse Station as well as seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Andrew Memorial Church, 280 Main Street, South Bound Brook, NJ 08880. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery.
